Op de website complex.com staat een dope artikel waarin DJ Premier vertelt over de totstandkoming van 39 van zijn (classic) tracks. Heel dope om een kijkje achter de schermen te krijgen bij rappers als Nas, Fat Joe, Big L & Jay-Z.

I just had the beat running, while I was constructing the intro, because the intro had to be sick. So I was doing that, but looking at them every now and then. And they eventually go, ’Yo, I’m ready.’ Guru walks in and does his, and when Deck goes in, we’re just like, ’Jesus Christ.’”
